The charts give velocities for a selection of profiles and specify the size of Hyson Cell to be used.
Rounded profiles (taken as parabolas)are preferred to "hard edge" trapezoidal sections.
The parabola is specified by the dimensions T (width of channel at waterline)and y (depth at waterline).
