Concrete fills for Hyson Cells

Conventional concrete CANNOT be used with Hyson Cells. The reasons for this are explained in the features topic. Special concrete mixes have been developed. These concretes are :

• High slump ready-mix concrete (often with additives such as retarders and plasticisers)
• On-site high slump concrete for labour based applications
• Grouted concrete
• No-fines concrete (NFC) for use with vegetated fill
