Solving road water problems
Road through a flood plain
This road through the flood plain, now 8 years old, is under water for months at a time. At the time the "grouted concrete" technique was used as fill to the Hyon Cells. We would now use Hyson Cells formulation of "ready mix" concrete or Hyson Cells on-site labour-based mix for concrete. The whole raised roadway was encased in the Hyson Cells armouring so as to entrap fines and protect the layerworks.
