Large drains are trafficked to clean them

• This drain is 25 metres wide and 9 metres deep
• Deposited sediment is cleaned using a loader
• As the underlying material is black cotton clay there are strong forces at play with varying water content over the seasons
• The "cell slab" for the drain floor is 150 mm thick. Fill was 25% ashcrete using 0,8 mm ash.
• The "cell slab" walls are 100 mm thick and fill was 18% ashcrete
