Deep packs for retaining walls
- The Hyson Cells packs can contain granular fill in layers 2 metres deep. Length of each module can be 6, 12 or 18 metres.
- Most in-situ granular fills are suitable provided they do not have a high clay content and vegetable matter and other detritus is removed.
- Compaction methods include vibrating rollers and impact rollers as well as compaction of saturated fill with pokers.
- The method allows filling of gravity mass walls with big loaders to achieve 500 to 1000 cubic metres per day
