The 3D interlock of a Hyson Cells block
- A segment has been removed from a core taken of a concrete "cell slab".
- The holes occupied by the patented rigging strings can be clearly seen
- Side lighting shows up the corrugation of the cell wall. This emphasizes the true 3D deformation from a plane surface. Only this degree of deformation can translate loads into lateral concrete-to-concrete forces which far exceed frictional effects of textured plane surfaces
